On Wednesday, November 6th, the WISH Foundation will hold the prestigious Erna Hamburger Prize and Conference, an event that brings into the limelight an influential, leading female scientist who is transforming her field and executing change.
This year, the WISH foundation will welcome Professor Antje Boetius.
Antje Boetius is a German marine biologist presently serving as professor of geomicrobiology at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology, University of Bremen. Her main research Interests are:
- Microbial Ecology of the Deep Sea
- Marine Methane Cycle
- Gas Hydrates and Cold Seeps
- Geomicrobiology
- Global Carbon Cycle
The Equal Opportunities Office is therefore very excited to let you know that Prof. Boetius has also accepted to give a presentation of her research and career, during an informal lunch with EPFL female Master & Doctoral Students, and postdocs.
The event will consist of a presentation in English followed by informal discussions where you will be able to ask her any kind of questions. Sandwiches and cakes will be offered.
