Aim: The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) or pre-clinical, translational, and early clinical research with the potential to produce unusually high impact, near-term advancements in melanoma prevention, detection, diagnosis, staging, and treatment.
Proposals will be accepted for Established Investigator Awards, Academic-Industry Partnership Awards (for Established Investigators), Young Investigator Awards, Pilot Awards, and Special Opportunity Awards in Immunotherapy, Radiation Oncology, and Pediatric Melanoma. Some of these programs are highlighted below; details on the others can be found in the RFP.
How to Apply: All letters of intent and full proposals should be submitted via proposalCENTRAL. During the submission, you will be prompted to enter details for the Host Institution. If EPFL will serve as you host institution, please enter the name exactly as: Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne EPFL. At the Full Proposal stage, the signature of the institution’s signing official is required; please contact the Research Office for this task.

- Yong Investigator Program: Early career faculty with original ideas into the field of melanoma. Three years of funding at up to $75K per year. Applicants must be within the first four years of their first independent academic faculty appointment. Eligibility check due 21-Oct-2020. Full proposal due 04-Nov-2020.
- Established Investigator Program: Senior investigators with an established record of scientific productivity and accomplishment. Three years of funding at up to $125K per year. Applicants must be past the initial four years of their first academic faculty appointment and be an Assistant Professor or above. Full proposal due 04-Nov-2020.
- Pilot Award: Senior investigators who propose potentially transformative ideas that do not have extensive preliminary data but articulate a clear hypothesis and translational goals. Applicants must be senior investigators, past the first four years of their first academic faculty appointment. Full proposal due 04-Nov-2020.
