Aim: The Michael J. Fox Foundation seeks to facilitate access and use of our cohort biosamples. Applicants can request these human biosamples and associated grant funding for target validation or biomarker development programs.
 
Researchers pursuing target and biomarker assay development programs across all developmental stages are encouraged to apply. MJFF is especially interested in the following:
  • Assay development and validation for novel Parkinson’s disease biomarkers
  • Biomarker replication and validation of promising measures that associate with Parkinson’s or Parkinson’s progression
  • Target discovery and validation using human biosamples
 
Funding:        Maximum USD $300’000
 
Duration:      1-2 years
 
Eligibility: Researchers at all academic levels are eligible to apply. Post-doctoral fellows are eligible to apply as co-investigators with the designation of an administrative principal investigator who directs the laboratory in which the fellow will conduct research.
 
How to Apply: The pre-proposal is the first step in the application. Pre-proposals must be completed in the online application portal.  Successful applicants will be given further instructions for submitting a full proposal.
 
Deadline (Pre-proposal): 24 September 2019 (5:00 pm EST)
Deadline (Full Application, by invitation): 17 January 2020 (5:00 pm EST)
