Protein N- and O-glycosylation involves dozens of functionally distinct glycosidases and glycosyltransferases that act sequentially and often competitively. Using an innovative FRET-flow cytometric quantification approach we study the supramolecular organization of glycosylation pathways and their alterations in specific diseases and cancers.
