The event features a screening All Too Clear, a documentary investigating the impact of quagga mussels in the North American Great Lakes. Following the film, a panel discussion will shift the focus to the situation in Lake Geneva and other Swiss lakes, offering local context and insights into this growing ecological challenge.
About the film
The immersive film All Too Clear uses cutting-edge underwater drones to explore how quadrillions of tiny invasive mussels, known as quaggas, are re-engineering the ecosystem of the Great Lakes at a scale not seen since the glaciers. Part scientific exploration, part natural history adventure - the film showcases freshwater wildlife and environments like never before and highlights the severe consequences of invasive alien species on biodiversity.
