Junya Ishigami is a dynamic architect, active both in Japan and abroad and one of the most eagerly watched at present. He exhibited in the Japanese Pavilion at the 2008 Venice Biennale of Architecture, and was further awarded the Golden Lion for Best Project in the group show at Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2010. It is Ishigami’s belief that, “Architecture is one of the tools available for opening up worlds we have not yet discovered”.
