Precision NanoSystems Inc. (PNI) is a Vancouver, Canada based biotech company that emerged out of the labs of Pieter Cullis’ and Carl Hansen’s at the University of British Columbia.
PNI owns the microfluidic NanoAssemblr Platform, a suite of instruments for the development of nanoparticle and liposome formulations based on a disposable microfluidic cartridge. The NanoAssemblr Platform enables rapid production of nanoparticles and tight control over the nanoparticle formation process. Formulations can be made in the microliter and milliliter range for small scale formulation screening, as well as in the liter range for GLP and GMP manufacture. Some strong points of the NanoAssemblr Technology lie in the excellent reproducibility of formulations, rapidity of the process and easy scalability.
