Aim: The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is seeking grant applications that encourage the advancement of innovative research into psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and related comorbidities. Discovery Grants fund researchers while they explore preliminary ideas and conduct proof-of-concept experiments. The goal is to stimulate the development of new research programs in the field of psoriatic disease capable of competing for long-term funding from the National Institutes of Health or similar agencies in the future.
Applications related to all aspects of psoriatic disease are strongly encouraged, including basic science, translational research, technology, epidemiology, health services, and clinical research. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review recent publications and reports identifying research gaps and priorities in psoriatic disease research.
Funding: $75,000 / year
Duration: One year
Eligibility: The principal investigator must be personally and actively responsible for the conduct of the proposed research, hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent academic degree, and be eligible to apply as a Principal Investigator by their institution. The principal investigator need not be a United States citizen and the research need not take place in the United States.
How to Apply: Discovery Grant applications require a project proposal that includes specific aims, background and significance, preliminary data, and experimental design.
