Harry Heimberg is Prof. at the Diabetes Research Center at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels.
His main research interest is the control of the adult beta cell mass by (i) proliferation and differentiation of adult pancreatic and non-pancreatic stem cells, (ii) proliferation of pancreatic insulin-positive cells and (iii) transdifferentiation of pancreatic non-beta- to beta cells.
