The Olga Mayenfisch Stiftung supports medical research in Switzerland.
Note that grants cannot not be requested in the 2 years after obtaining one.
Please mention in your application any parallel requests for funding.
Who can apply:
- Researchers based at a Swiss university, hospital or other research institution.
- Applicants must be young group leaders / assistant professors.
Funding & Duration: approximately CHF 50’000 usually for 12 months.
Eligible costs: scholarships, personnel (incl. transitional salaries), consumables, instruments, among others. Does NOT cover overheads.
Deadlines: 1 June and 1 December (every year)
Application:
- Application form (1 page)
- Project synopsis in German (max. 1 page)
- Project proposal (max. 5 pages)
- Introduction / state of research
- Own preliminary work on the topic
- Research Plan
- Budget (structure: consumables, instruments and salaries)
- CV (max. 2 pages)
- Publication list (max 10 publications).
Decision: September and March (every year)
Success rate: 10-15%
