Dear colleagues,
The BIOP continues its series on practically related light microscopy courses. We are happy to announce a brand new course, with a topic that was chosen based on your input:
‘Imaging Thick Specimen, clearing and other clever tricks' .
It will take place on Tuesday, 3rd October from 13:00 until 17:30 and will teach and demonstrate how to optimally acquire images of large fixed specimen (organoids, mouse brains, large tissue sections) on three different microscopes:
-Zeiss LSM980 confocal microscope with Airyscan detector.
-Zeiss LightSheet Z1 microscope.
-Leica SP8
The course is open to everyone from EPFL and registration is free of charge. However, unjustified late cancellations (less than 3 working days before the course date) and no shows will be charged with a fee of CHF 250.
It is expected that participants are familiar with the basic concepts of light microscopy and have used a microscope recently.
