Abstract:
In his book “Resolving the crisis in research by changing the game” (2020 E.Elgar Publishing) he challenges the mainstream POP-culture (Publish or Perish Culture) in academia. He is presenting “A sharing philosophy” as a route to returning to true scholarship. The book is based on a life-long reflection about academia, true scholarship and excellence in research. In the book he is presenting lessons from AOM, EURAM and his own research development initiatives. He is not seeing true scholarship as something you do, but something you are. Scholarship is not a discrete action, but a lifelong development and maturation.
