The talk will discuss three problems where surface viscosity or surface elasticity can independently play a significant role in the dynamics of gas or liquid films. They are
(i) the dip coating process with surfactants,
(ii) the film pulling process of molten material and
(iii) the drainage dynamics of antibubbles.
