This course takes a top-down approach to the design and analysis of
secure systems. Cryptography is presented from a high level as one of
several tools to secure systems. Architecture, software, network,
wireless and hardware layers are each explored in terms of threats and
solutions. Applications and higher level issues such as economics and
human behavior are also presented since they play a large role in
overall system security.
