Dr. Markus O. Häring from Geo Explorers Ltd will visit the Chair of CO2 storage on 07.09.2012. On this occasion, Dr. Häring will give a lecture entitled ''Preliminary concept for a carbon storage test site in Switzerland.''
The abstract of the lecture is shown below:
A geological study of CO2 storage possibilities in Switzerland has shown a significant storage potential in the Molasse basin. There is however no first hand data available to prove the potential, nor is there any first hand experience available to store CO2 in Switzerland. This talk discusses the feasibility of a test site, the order of magnitude of an experimental CO2 storage project, and presents a pragmatic way how to develop such a project.
