The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) mandated ZHAW for bilateral research collaboration with partner institutions in South Asia and Iran during the funding period 2017-2020.
 
This Seed Money Call aims at developing new or consolidating existing research partnerships in all scientific disciplines with scientists based in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iran, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
 
Who can apply:

  • The PI: scientist holding a faculty or senior scientist position at a Swiss federal and cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education, as well as public research institutions with several years of research experience.
  • The Partner: scientist affiliated to a university or a public research institute of the aforementioned countries.
 
Funding: up to CHF 20,000 for up to 12 months (latest start: end of 2018)
  • Each partner country offers the opportunity to apply for reciprocal grants.
  • In cash and/or in-kind contributions by all parties will serve as an indicator for the strength of the project.
 
Eligible costs: salary; up to CHF 2,000 per flight; accommodation costs and or equipment for meetings; consumables/materials. Overheads are NOT eligible.
 
Deadline: 31 July 2018
