Dislocations, or singularities in the phase of a wave, are ubiquitous features of waves. Much studied in light or sound, we observe and study them in magnetohydrodynamic and Alfven waves in the solar plasma. We have found them in sunspots and in the corona. Associated to those dislocations we have also observed superoscillations, where the wave oscillates faster than its highest Fourier frequency. Higher frequency means higher dissipation which means effective heating of the solar corona
