The primary aim of the 6th joint call of the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR) is to combine the resources, infrastructures, and research strengths of multiple countries in order to address the identification and validation of new targets, the development of new therapies, and new tools for new treatments (including new antibiotics). The call targets research on innovations against antibiotic-resistant bacteria (new targets, compounds and tools), and involving fundamental and/or translational research, with the exception of clinical trials.
Consortia must include eligible partners from at least three different countries (max. 6 or 7, see call document). Each consortium partner is funded by its national funding body, for Switzerland the SNSF. Project should not include more than 2 eligible research partners funded by the same funding organization. Applicants MUST contact their national contacts prior submission (see the list). Projects must fit with the goals of the National Research Programme “Antimicrobial Resistance” NRP72.
 
Funding and duration
Funding amount: not specified, SNSF total budget is 600.000 Euros (ca. 700.000 CHF)
Duration: up to 3 years (start End of 2018 / Early 2019)
