The EU JPND launches a transnational call on "Health and Social Care for Neurodegenerative Diseases". The aim of this call is to establish ambitious, innovative, multi-national and multi-disciplinary collaborative research projects that address health and social care delivery at the macro level (system and infrastructures) as well as (at) the individual level of patients, their carers and families. Proposals will include, but are not limited to, the following research areas:
- Care pathways and services using the potential of patient involvement
- Factors influencing progression and prognosis of disease
- Outcome measures for patients and their informal carers
- Palliative care of patients
- Cost-effectiveness and affordability of interventions including ethical concerns
Consortia may consist of partners who receive funding under this award as well as non-funded external collaborators. They must involve a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 or 7 funded partners from at least 3 different countries. Individual partners will be funded by their corresponding national funding organisation, in Switzerland the SNSF. The eligibility criteria for SNSF project funding apply. Interested applicants MUST contact the SNSF administrative office prior to submission to check eligibility and because specific requirements apply.
