Abstract: Coupling is an interesting method to obtain results in Probability, Optimal transport but also in Analysis and Geometry. In particular, it is useful to study hypoelliptic diffusions as it doesn't need the intervention of some geometric or analytic objects that are difficult to define. In this talk I will study couplings of the subelliptic Brownian motion in subRiemannian manifolds. I will present the constructions of successful couplings on the Heisenberg group, $SU(2)$ and (under some hypothesis) on $SL(2,\mathbb{R})$. I will also give some direct applications on the associated semi-group and on harmonic functions.
