Dr. Elena Spagnuolo holds a PhD. in Geophysics from from the University of Genova (Italy). Since 2011 she is a Researcher at the INGV, Rome (http://www.ingv.it/it/). Her main research activities are in the domain of rock mechanics (fault stability, constitutive laws, and others) and quantitative seimology (determining seismic source parameters and scaling laws using quasi- dynamic models, etc.).
