laba's Manor studio - taking the “manor house” as a prototypical Environmental Object - will address the socio-economic feudo- manorial system and, above all, its potential to be re-adapted and reused.

On this occasion we will be joined by three guest-speakers - Irina Davidovici (ETH Zürich), Tim Crabtree (Wessex Community Assets) and James Grasby (National Trust) - who will engage with the subject of the “commons” through different perspectives. Ranging from the topic of housing over to diverse forms of production and collective association, they will help us debate the past, present and future relations established by various communities between themselves and the territory.
