Inflation and current couplings in the Einstein-Cartan gravity
Different from the textbook metric formalism of gravity, Einstein-Cartan gravity allows torsion degrees of freedom. In this talk, I will discuss possible realizations of inflation in the Einstein-Cartan gravity, by adding combinations of torsion components to the Lagrangian. If further adding matter currents coupling to the torsion components, this will lead to couplings between the inflaton and matter currents. I will show how to realize such couplings and show the asymptotic behavior of the decay constants.
