Are you applying to one of the Company of Biologists’ journals – Development, Journal of Cell Science, Journal of Experimental Biology and Disease Models & Mechanisms?
Are you an excellent graduate student or post-doctoral researcher of any nationality, working in the field of the journal to which you apply?
Do you wish to make collaborative visits to other laboratories around the world?
Apply for the Company of Biologists’ journals Travelling Fellowships!
Funding: max. £2,500
Eligible costs: travel, subsistence, accommodation, visa fees and bench fees. Does NOT cover travel insurance costs.
Restrictions:
- The date of travel must occur within six months from the award; awards are not retroactive.
- There can be only one application per laboratory, per round, per person.
- You can only apply to one journal.
- Unsuccessful applicants may not re-apply for the same project and may submit a different application only after 2 years.
Evaluation criteria: excellence of the candidate; importance and innovative quality of the project.
Deadlines:
- 15 March 2019 (for travel after 29 April 2019)
- 31 May 2019 (for travel after 15 July 2019)
- 30 August 2019 (for travel after 14 October 2019)
- 29 November 2019 (for travel after 14 January 2020)
Note that the Decision takes 6 weeks.
