The Cure Parkinson’s Trust (CPT) supports laboratory and clinical research projects with the potential to delay, slow, stop, reverse or prevent the progression of Parkinson’s disease.
CPT only accepts research applications that meet the following criteria:
- Disease modifying (slow, stop, reverse)
- Translate into clinic (Phase 2b trial) within 5 years
CPT does NOT accept symptomatic research or solely mechanistic or biomarker research.
Funding & Duration: £50,000 to £250,000 for 1-3 years. Eligible costs include materials and personnel. Overheads are NOT eligible.
Who can apply: scientists or clinicians based at a university or hospital worldwide, or commercial organisations.
Deadlines: 10 May, 16 August and 25 October (every year)

- Contact [email protected] at least 7 working days prior to the deadline to obtain a Letter of Institutional Support (COMPULSORY).
- Submit your full proposal, including budget, using this form, to Leah Mursaleen ([email protected]). If the project features a drug, complete also the Drug CV Form. Please note that ethical compliance is reviewed at the proposal stage.
