The Journal of European Ceramic Society (JECS) Trust supports:
- Mobility grants: visits by individual researchers to other laboratories within Europe for the purposes of learning new techniques or accessing equipment not available in their own laboratories. Eligible costs: use of facilities (max. 500€/month), travel/subsistence costs (50€/day), other (only with full justification). Does NOT cover salaries.
- Scientific conference/workshops or events for students/early stage researchers: Eligible costs: hire/use of facilities, consumables/admin costs, travel/subsistence costs, other. Does not cover costs to attend a conference. The sum requested can be up to 50% of the total budget.
Who can apply:
- Applicants must be based at a member country of the European Ceramic Society (ECerS). Switzerland is a full member.
- Applicants must have been either members of a ceramic society affiliated to ECerS or direct members of ECerS for at least 12 months.
- They must be affiliated to a non-profit organisation (e.g. university, lab).
Deadlines: 31 May and 30 November (every year)
Application:
- Please fill out the applicable application form for mobility grants and for scientific conference grants and submit it to the ECerS Trust secretariat ([email protected]).
- Decision: after ~3 months from the closure of the call.
- The success rate for the last call was almost 60%.
- Note: Publications are expected in the Journal of the European Ceramic Society or in Open Ceramics as appropriate.
