Abstract
The lecture will focus on Villa Chardonne, a villa in the village of Chardonne, in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Designed by the Geneva-based studio Made in, the house has been widely published and occupies a hillside site overlooking Lake Geneva.
Bio
François Charbonnet is co-founder, along with Patrick Heiz, of the architecture studio Made in, based in Geneva, Switzerland. After graduating from the ETH Zurich with a thesis supervised by Prof. Hans Kollhoff, he collaborated with Herzog & de Meuron and OMA, Rem Koolhaas before setting up their own office in 2003.
François Charbonnet has been a visiting professor at the EPF Lausanne (2010-2011), at the ETH Zurich (2011-2013) and at the Accademia di Archittetura, Mendrisio (2014-2015) and currently heads, alongside with Patrick Heiz, the ETH chair of architecture and design VOLUPTAS.
