A large number of people in the developing world use kerosene lamps for lighting. The harm  caused by the smoke emitted from these lamps is both local, in the form of problems with indoor air quality, and global, in the form of CO2 emissions and other problems associated with fossil fuels. On the other hand, solar panels, LEDs, batteries, and other electronics contain toxic materials that are very dangerous for the environment. In addition, they may also be dangerous for users if not handled properly. Then why transition from kerosene to solar?

If you would like to explore these questions further, join our LEDsafari Certified Trainer workshops this summer. Travel with us through this exciting journey into the world of low-tech  devices for teaching and applying social and environmental sustainability!

The workshop takes place over three days, split over two weekends - June 14, 15, and 21. The price for participating is 140 CHF (70 CHF for students) with material, food and one lamp included. You will receive a certificate from us at the end of the workshop. Go to the link for more details!
