Are you ready to automate your next large scale microscopy experiment and work smarter, not harder? Join us for the Smart Microscopy workshop organized by EPFL Bio-Imaging Platform and ZEISS Microscopy.

This hands-on event will take you from zero to hero with advanced imaging and analysis tools available in ZEN software and beyond. We will deep dive into ZEN macros and learn how to connect your favorite open-source tools such as FiJi or Python with ZEN for object detection and command of motorized ZEISS microscopes. With our ZEISS experts and invited speakers, we will empower your next intelligent imaging project.

What You’ll Learn:
  • Tuesday (Open to All) - BC420 - Intro Day:
    • Learn about concepts and tools available in ZEN
    • AI image analysis tools within ZEISS ecosystem
    • Guided acquisition in ZEN without coding
    • ZEN macro language OAD
    • Live demos of Smart acquisition workflow on ZEISS LSM 980
    • Use case from BIOP
    • Talks from invited speaker (TBD)
 
  • Wednesday - BC 05 and BIOP - Hands on:
    • Dive into ZEN macro environment
    • Collaborate in a Hackathon to solve your own microscopy challenge with support of ZEISS experts
 
  • Thursday - BC 05 and BIOP -  Hands on:
    • Connect ZEISS tools with open-source platforms like FiJi
    • Import AI models to ZEN for image analysis
    • Explore ZEN API for python and available ZEISS libraries

Prerequisites for hands-on sessions :
