The Sino-Swiss Science and Technology Cooperation (SSSTC) program was established in 2003 after the signing of a memorandum of understanding which serves as a foundation for intensified research collaboration between Swiss and Chinese scientists. The Exchange Grants are meant to be an instrument for encouraging follow-up activities after initial joint activities. These grants shall enable mid-term (6-24 months) personnel exchanges (PhD students or post-doctoral researchers) that may pave the way for future more ambitious or more engaging joint research projects.
Deadlines: 26 February 2017
Funding:
For Chinese fellows visiting Switzerland: Living costs (CHF 2'500 per month) + social costs (AHV, etc.) up to CHF 250 per month for up to 12 months.
For Swiss fellows visiting China: roundtrip economy flight up to CHF 2'000.
