"UKRAINE: ARCHITECTURES OF EMERGENCY" is a showcase of the ongoing war in Ukraine, stemming from Russia's invasion in 2022. This event will take place from November 9 to 26, 2023, at La RASUDE (Place de la Gare 1).

This exhibition delves into the spatial situations that have arisen as a result of the emergency response, shedding light on the various scales and stages of the conflict. From a spatial perspective, it analyzes the ecological damage caused by the war, emergency protocols, and their impact on the built environment. Acknowledging the indefinite nature of the conflict, the installation is a continuous research process and approach to a situation that is constantly evolving. It integrates various Ukrainian architects and researchers who have been developing practices within this exceptional context.
The event also includes elements from "Before the Future," the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia 2023.
By sharing stories, we have the opportunity to better understand one another and exchange diverse visions of an evolving future. Together, we will discuss the paradoxical situation in which Ukrainian architects currently find themselves. For them, the future coexists with the ongoing destruction of the past and the present, including its spaces and interactions.
