EPFL and the City of Lausanne will be hosting Virtuale Switzerland, the first Virtual Biennale that is touring Swiss cities from 2014 to 2015. The exhibition presents a unique and original experience using augmented reality. The objects on display are virtual works of art created by international artists, which are superimposed onto everyday spaces and can be seen using a smartphone or a tablet.
During the event, the Rolex Learning Center will be embellished with flowers, supernovas, floating stars, giant students immersed in deep mystical revelations, and huge diamonds… To see these elusive images, install the free “LAYAR” app on your smartphone or tablet, scan the QR codes that you will find all across the exhibition grounds, and peer through the screen of your device into a radically transformed reality.
Enjoy the journey through fantastic virtual worlds dreamed up by artists that were brought together by Arthur Clay, a New York based artist who is the curator of this exhibition!
Explicative visits of the exhibition (EPFL site) - free but booking obligatory by mail
