Guests biography
Véronique Patteeuw (PhD) is an associate professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture et du Paysage de Lille and visiting professor in architecture theory at KULeuven and EPFL Lausanne. She is the academic editor of OASE, Journal for Architecture. Patteeuw’s research and teaching explore the relevance of post-war theoretical concepts for contemporary practice. She co-edited recently Critical Regionalism Revisited (2019), and Mediated Messages: Periodicals, Exhibitions and the Shaping of Postmodern Architecture (2018).
Sébastien Marot Born in 1961, philosopher by training, professor in architectural history and culture, Sébastien Marot teaches environmental history at the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires de Paris Est and, as a visiting professor, at the Epfl and the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. He is the author of several books, including L’Art de la Mémoire, le territoire et l’architecture(2010) and Taking the Country’s Side: Agriculture & Architecture(2020), the catalogue of the exhibition of the same name that he mounted as part of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale. As a translator, he also co-edits the magazine Marnes: documents d’architecture.
Lucía Jalón Oyarzun is an architect and researcher. Head of Research at ALICE and Director of Academic Affairs at Escuela SUR, a postgraduate school of arts in Madrid. She studied at the ETSAM School of Architecture of Madrid where she also defended her PhD “Exception and the rebel body: the political as generator of a minor architecture” in 2017.
