Job Floris and Sandor Naus are partners and co-founders of MONADNOCK, a Rotterdam based architecture office. They both studied the Academie voor Arts and Design Sint Joost in Breda and graduated at the Rotterdam Academy for Architecture and Urban Design. The Strand aan de Maas pavilion, the Katendrecht Residence and the temporary structure “Make no little plans” are among MONADNOCK’s most interesting work. Job Floris is member of the editorial board at OASE Journal for Architecture and publicist in. Job is head of the Master’s course Architecture at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design.

about 5x3
The 5x3 is a cycle of open lectures which aims to present individual practical approaches of architects from different European countries. Each semester 5 offices are invited to give a conference.  Each office presents 3 of their projects: the very first one and two others. Those 3 projects are like milestones that should represent the parcours of the office. The insight into the different working methods and the story behind the formation of the office provides a good opportunity to learn about the different ways to start and lead an architectural office. The 5x3 lectures are organized by EAST/EPFL in collaboration with the Forum d’Architecture de Lausanne.
