80th anniversary of EPFL Geotechnical Engineering Group

On January 15th EPFL Geotechnical Engineering Group celebrated its 80th anniversary. Participants who received congratulations, were Professors, Post-Docs and PhD students from three laboratories: Laboratory of Soil Mechanics (LMS), Laboratory of Experimental Rock Mechanics (LEMR), Laboratory of Geo-Energy (GEL). For them it was great honour and pleasure to welcome five Professors from other universities who are globally recognized as experts in geomechanics/geotechnics: Prof. Tomasz Hueckel (Duke University), Prof. Joseph Labuz (University of Minnesota), Prof. Patrick Selvadurai (McGill University), Prof. Ronaldo Borja (Stanford University) and Prof. Antonio Gens (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya).

- Danila Mylnikov, PhD student: "Studying interaction of host and cap rock with CO2"
