The Brain Research UK has launched the 2019 call for mechanism-based research projects addressing areas of large unmet need and demonstrating a clear pathway to clinical impact in one of the following priority areas:
- acquired brain and spinal cord injury
- neuro-oncology
- headache and facial pain.
Who can apply:
- the main applicant must be based in a UK institution (university, hospital or research institute).
- EPFL applicants are eligible for funding as co-applicants (max. 3).
Funding: £300’000 for up to 36 months.
- Eligible costs: research staff (incl. PhD students), essential equipment and consumables.
- Does not cover: tenured posts, overheads, administrative costs.
Deadline for pre-proposals (1 page): 3 April 2019 at 17:00 GMT
Deadline for full proposals: 24 June 2019 (on invitation)
Decision: September 2019
Start of the grant: by September 2020
