Catalytic enantioselective [1,2]-rearrangements of allylic ammonium ylides and allylic ethers are rare and a recognised challenge with their mechanisms often debated. This talk will outline approaches to the selective catalytic enantioselective [1,2]- and [2,3]-rearrangements of allylic ammonium ylides and allylic ethers using a range of organocatalytic procedures as well as mechanistic studies of these processes.
