Mathias Lerch is a demographer who joined EPFL in 2021 to conduct his project Migration in cities of the global South: drivers interactions and socio-demographic consequences, for which he received a grant from the European Research Council (ERC). He will present his project which aims to analyze, in more than 3000 cities and rural areas located in the South, migration from rural areas to cities, international migration, and especially the interactions between the two phenomena. This session will be held in English.
