Abstract
This talk will present an overview of our research research on lake physics and ecological modelling. The first part will be concentrated on selected experimental studies on surface and internal waves discussing also the potential ecological relevance of these processes. The second part of the talk will be focused on modelling studies investigating plankton in vertical water columns, specifically addressing the implications of climate warming and trophic change for phytoplankton development and phenology in plankton.
