In the first part of the talk I will review a general
construction (due to Finkelberg, Nakajima and myself) which
associates an affine (possibly singular) symplectic variety to a
reductive group G and a linear representation N of G (in quantum field
theory terms this corresponds to constructing Coulomb branches of
3-dimensional super-symmetric gauge theories, but no knowledge of
physics will be requires for the talk). In the 2nd half I will explain
what this construction gives explicitly in the case when the pair
(G,N) comes from a (framed) quiver of ADE type
