The Dr. Josef Steiner Cancer Foundation is accepting applications for the 2019 Cancer Research Award.
Who can apply
- Early career scientists (~40 years old or less)
- involved in basic and/or clinical cancer research (specifically, translational research)
- who are able to provide the infrastructure needed to carry out the proposed project.
- Priority will be given to scientists based in Europe.
Funding
- a personal prize of CHF 50’000.
- a research grant of up to CHF 1’000’000 over 4 years
Eligible costs
- salaries for co-investigators or staff (the applicant’s salary is NOT eligible)
- equipment
- operating costs.
Timeline
- Internal Deadline: 23 March 2018 - To obtain the Letter of Institutional Support (compulsory) submit your proposal to [email protected].
- Deadline for Outline proposal: 1 April 2018
- 4-6 applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by 15 July 2018.
- Deadline for Full proposal: 1 September 2018
- Interviews: January 2019
- Decision: by 31 January 2019
- Earliest project start: 1 March 2019
