Aim: Dravet Syndrome Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to aggressively raising research funds for Dravet syndrome. Research Grant Awards are the largest type of grant awarded by DSF. These grants are intended for established, experienced, independent investigators affiliated with a research or academic institution whose proposed projects investigate hypotheses directly related to Dravet syndrome. Our 2020 priority areas include:
- Transformative research to enhance our understanding of the cellular, molecular, genetic and systems-level mechanisms that lead to Dravet syndrome, facilitating the continued investigation of disease-modifying or preventative strategies
- Research that will encourage the development of novel therapies to prevent onset or halt the progression of the Dravet syndrome
- Research focused on new, effective treatments for Dravet syndrome and/or its comorbidities

- Face Page – found here
- Scientific Abstract and Lay abstract – 1 page or less
- Budget Page (including indirect costs of 10%)
- Budget Justification Page
- Hypothesis and Specific Aims – 1 page
- Research Design – 4 pages, including background, preliminary data, experimental plan and methods
- A statement on how the research will advance the understanding, treatment or care of people with Dravet syndrome or related epilepsies – ½ page
- Citations in NIH format (listing all authors) – no limit
- CV/Biosketch – found here
