Since 2006, the Erna Hamburger Prize distinguishes influential, leading women scientists who are transforming their field and executing change. The prize is awarded by the EPFL-WISH Foundation (Women In Science and Humanities).
The Erna Hamburger Prize 2023 will be awarded to :
Prof. Michelle Simmons
Prof. Simmons is the CEO and Founder of Silicon Quantum Computing and Director of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology in Sydney. She is internationally renowned for creating the field of atomic electronics and for pioneering new technologies to build computing devices in silicon at the atomic scale.
The award ceremony will be held on Monday, November 6th at 5:00 pm at the Forum Rolex.
