The research network for Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Innovation aims to improve the European doctoral-level education in entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy. Whereas the importance of entrepreneurship for innovation, economic growth, and sustainable development has been clearer than ever before, the field has still been insufficiently recognized by European business research institutes. By organizing an annual conference bringing together leading academics and promising students in the field, the Consortium creates opportunities to discuss new ideas, receive practical research advice, and build stronger connections in the academic field.
Besides the activities in the doctoral-level education, the SEI Consortium also provides a platform for senior research to discuss their work. The first SEI Faculty Workshop took place in April 2012 at the ETH Zürich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). The second SEI Faculty Workshop will be hosted by EPFL in Lausanne.
The inaugural schools and current members of the SEI Consortium are:
