This lecture is part of a series given at laba studio. Each of these presentations focuses on a specific aspect of architectural design.The introduction of these courses reflects the desire to provide a broader understanding of technological issues and their influence on the architectural design. Due to the extreme conditions in the Barents Region (Norway), and our awareness of the environmental cost of all additional infrastructure here, each building element (structure, building services, facade and fit-out) will have a fundamental role to play within the chosen architectural solutions.
