About the FLAIR Tutorials
The purpose of these events is to present broader perspectives and methods to our broad audience of theoretically inclined researchers working on machine learning and related fields. The talks introduce a chain of works, a method, or a whole paradigm, giving the audience new perspectives, new intuitions, new questions that they can think about. It's only natural if the speakers touch on some of their own work toward the end, but they are encouraged to keep that on a high level.
The tutorials in the afternoon are followed by pizza and drinks for an open ended discussion, and to provide an opportunity to tighten the links between our groups.
