GAAG seminar - Horospherical stacks

Toric varieties are beloved in algebraic geometry because of their combinatorial theory using polyhedral fans; horospherical varieties vastly generalize this theory using so-called coloured fans. In the first 30 minutes, I will briefly introduce these horospherical varieties and their combinatorial theory (knowledge of toric varieties is not necessary). Then, in the next 45 minutes, I will introduce horospherical stacks -- extending horospherical varieties into the larger world of algebraic stacks, and generalizing the known class of toric stacks -- and discuss my results on developing their combinatorial theory.
