Gebert Rüf Stiftung - Social Innovation BREF

Event details
Date | 20.08.2015 |
Speaker | Gebert Rüf Stiftung |
Category | Call for proposal |
The programme BREF was launched in 2009 by Gebert Rüf Stiftung in cooperation with the Rectors' Conference of the Swiss Universities of Applied Science (KFH). It has been pursued since January 2015 in collaboration with swissuniversities, the new body dealing with policies in academic universities, universities of applied science and universities of teacher education. It has an annual budget of some CHF 1.5 million. At the centre of interest is the potential of universities of applied science as R&D partners. The annual calls for projects are aimed at members of universities of applied science who develop strong ideas that can also serve as models for new and promising cooperation ventures with partners from business and society (bridging projects).
The calls are published in spring, the closing date for submissions is in summer, and decisions on grants are made in autumn.
The 2015 BREF call focused – for the fourth time – on the topic of social innovation, on novel solutions to society’s challenges. Thanks to their strong basis in practical application, universities of applied science have the specific potential to develop and leverage social innovations.
