The government of Israel offers scholarships to several countries including Switzerland to carry out doctoral and postdoctoral research at an Israeli university for up to 8 months (non renewable).
 
Restrictions:

  • Scholarships are not available for veterinary and medicine studies.
  • Candidates should hold a BA or BSc degree or higher and be under the age of 35.
  • Candidates to the doctoral program must be registered for PhD studies in Israel.
  • Candidates to the postdoctoral program must provide an acceptance letter from an Israeli supervisor at an Israeli university.
 
The scholarship includes:
  1. Partial tuition fees (50% up to a maximum of $ 6,000 for tuition fees of $ 12,000 and higher)
  2. Monthly allowance for one academic year (8 months only, October until June)
  3. Basic health insurance
Some institutions may only offer partial coverage:

  2. Basic health insurance
 
Deadline: 30 November 2018
  • You must apply to the Israeli Embassy or to the organisation coordinating the applications in your country of citizenship (e.g. Swissuniversities for Swiss citizens).
