The RISE funding scheme fosters staff exchange between the academic and the non-academic sector and between European and non-European countries. RISE projects are carried out within the framework of a consortium involving 3 or more partners. The RISE funding scheme is bottom-up, meaning there are no topics predefined by the European Commission. Organisations actively involved in research/innovation are invited to propose joint projects. Support is provided for the development of partnerships in the form of joint research and innovation activities between the participants.
The 2015 RISE call for proposals is now open until 28 April 2015 and has an overall budget of €80 million.
